A Brand-New Development Centre for Pyrowave - State-of-the-Art Facilities to Support Corporate Business Development

2023-02-02 / News

Montreal, February 2, 2023 – During Pyrowave’s Townhall Meeting with all the employees of the microwave-based plastic recycling pioneer, Mr. Jocelyn Doucet, CEO, announced that the corporate research and development activities would soon be relocated to a brand-new state‑of‑the-art facility, to meet the company’s growth objectives. The current site no longer meets the corporate needs due to a rapid growth in recent years and to executive management’s future ambitions. The new 45,000-square-foot location will remain in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield and is scheduled to open by early 2024.

“This new development centre, which features state-of-the-art laboratories, an auditorium for conferences and training as well as electric charging stations, will enable us to achieve our ambitious business growth plan and set us apart as an attractive workplace for highly qualified jobs”, proudly announced Pyrowave’s CEO to employees. “The new facility directly meets Pyrowave's rapid growth needs, both in terms of developing and optimizing our technology and as part of our ongoing recruitment objectives in our commercial expansion.”

This new facility will provide a North American showcase for Pyrowave technology, in addition to housing all microwave processes research and development activities and a team of seasoned researchers. All the conditions will be met to further expand the expertise of the Pyrowave team to develop the new generation of low-carbon materials and continue to expand their portfolio of patents and innovations.

A Renewed Commitment in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield

As the City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is experiencing an unprecedented economic boom, Pyrowave reaffirms a long-standing commitment to the region, which has supported the business since the very beginning of the company. The new development centre is moving only a few steps away from the former site, at 1155 Gérard-Cadieux Boulevard, in the city’s industrial park and close to an ecosystem rich in suppliers and talents. Pyrowave thereby consolidates its strategic position in the industrial hub of the region, close to rail, sea and highway access. Pyrowave’s Head Office will remain in downtown Montreal.
